This colourful dimension of your being expands out beyond your skin about 3”-6”. Just like the level below, it also interpenetrates into your physical body. This is why your feelings have such a profound effect on your health. It also explains what is referred to as psycho-somatic illness.
Psycho(mind)-somatic(body) illness means your thoughts and feelings are having an impact on your physical systems. It’s why sometimes you have pain, but your medical professional can’t diagnose an illness yet.
It’s not “all in your head”, it’s all in your energy field! And it’s very real. It’s just the kind of thing I work with as a healer.
This level of your aura is unstructured. If you could see it, it would look like clouds of coloured consciousness moving around your body every time you have a feeling.
It is the level of your personal feelings about yourself. You like and love yourself, and feel proud, delighted, confident, special, or safe. Or you feel shame, humiliation, self-hatred, shy, fearful, angry, guilty, bad or dirty.
What Drags your Emotional Body Vibrations down?
Quite simply, low vibration energy on this level appears as heaviness and density in the clouds. Your colours get dimmed, murky and lack movement.
The murkiness shows bad feelings that are being repressed, compressed, and will eventually leave you feeling depressed. These darkened clouds hold our so-called “negative feelings” of envy, hatred, rage, fear, grief, and more.
The lack of movement means you are not allowing these feelings to flow and express. They are blocked.
Very unfortunately, rather than spending time attending to our bad feelings, many of us have the negative habit of keeping them stuffed until someone, often a loved one, triggers them and that energy in us lashes out in a reactive, disproportionate, exaggerated manner that is hurtful.
How do you Raise your Vibrations in the Emotional Body?
There are many ways to get your emotions moving so they get expressed and then clear out, leaving the good feelings with higher vibrations in their wake.
A great place to start if you are very out of touch with your emotions, is to journal. How was your day? How do you feel about the different things that happened or didn’t happen? Don’t just write the plot, add the subtext.
Psychotherapy and healing work is something almost all of us need to do a few years of somewhere along our journey. It’s just good self-care and necessary clean up work to take care of our “baggage” or accumulated bad feelings on this level.

Add pleasure and fun.
Joy and pleasure bring vibes to this level of your being.
Put on your favourite dance tunes and have a dance break! Chose music that makes you feel joyful and playful, or chose music to stomp out your anger, bring up your tears, or give voice to your fears. Emotional expression doesn’t always have to happen in therapy. Five Rhythms dance is awesome for moving energy.
Play games. Let your inner child have some fun. Messy paint. Draw like a child. Go roll in the snow. Play a board game with your kids. Bang on a drum. Play with clay. Read comics or children’s books. Watch Harry Potter.
Ask your inner child what she likes to do. Feel the pleasure flow as you engage these activities. Make a regular play date with yourself!
I'm serious, put it in your schedule.
Are you waiting for someone else to love you and fill you up with good feelings about yourself? Why wait. You can fill yourself up here. Then it will make it even easier to attract a loving person who truly appreciates you.
The colour of unconditional love is ROSE on this level of your Aura.
Tune into a part of your body that feels injured, heavy or that you dislike and regularly heap negative comments and self-judgements on to.
Spend a few minutes feeling the sensations there. If you are visual you might see images or the darkened clouds of energy. You might feel the emotions that are held there. Give this your loving attention.
Then visualize filling up that area with ROSE light. You can also say loving words of support to this part, or apologize to it for being so mean and judgemental.
Make a regular practice of this, maybe 5-10 minutes a day before you go to sleep, and you will find this part of your body feeling better.
