After I took my first Reiki class at age 19, I came across one of the best books on chakras and the aura. It was called Hands of Light by Barbara Brennan. Rather than vague descriptions of the chakras, Barbara covered territory no one before her had ever illuminated.

It was mind blowing, and I wanted to know more. So I spent 4 years attending the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, pretty much the best school in the world for Energy Healing, between the ages of 24-28.

At school I learned so many ways to practice feeling, seeing, sensing, and grounding my own energy.

It’s been a long time since I graduated in 1999 and I’ve seen a lot of energy fields and chakras! I've worked with over 4000 clients and taught many workshops.

In this class, I’ll help you learn some of the basic ways of sensing and connecting with your chakras which I learned at school.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

• Five 4 hour long, in person classes. You have time each week to integrate what you learned and then add to it the next week. No energy overload...start to build your perception muscles slowly.

• A variety of ways to learn and practice: lecture, demonstration by Shelley, seated meditations, active movement and physical stretches, sounding, mantras, and journalling.

• You will learn exactly where your chakras plug into your spine and body. No more vague.

• You will learn exactly what a chakra looks like when it is healthy, and the various ways it can distort when it is damaged.

• You will discover the sub-vortexes of the chakras and how they correspond with the symbolic images that ancient yogic science describes.

• Mantras, vowel sounds, and tones that vibrate each chakra. Sound is a powerful way to clear your chakras, and some people perceive better through sound vibration than they do visually.

• Mantras that vibrate each of the sub-vortexes in each chakra. We will create a room full of vibration for you to soak in. Another way the subtle becomes felt and real.

​

• Colour vibration that charges and clears each of the chakras. This is the basic grounding and clearing exercise I was taught at the BBSH.

​

• What colour vibration the chakras are on each of the 7 levels of your energy field (there’s way more to it than just the rainbow bridge of red/orange/yellow/green/blue/indigo/white!).

• The 7 different ways to perceive energy, and which ones you are best at.

​

• Group energy to enhance your ability to feel the energies. It’s much easier to learn in a group with the collective vibration than it is when you practice on your own.​​​ ​

• Audio recordings of chakra meditations practiced during class, sent to you by email so you can practice and deepen between classes.

• The course includes a copy of Hands of Light by Barbara Brennan (value $29). I will walk you through some of the chapters and pull it off the page to bring it to life.

• Course workbook. It’s very cool to capture all your insights in one place as a record of your chakra health at this time, and then look back at it later as you continue to heal, progress, and learn.

I was called to the class because I wanted a guided and shared experience in discovering what chakras were all about. I'd read about them, but wanted a forum to actually talk to people who knew or concretely lived the 'expression' of chakras. You can't talk about this kinda stuff to a lot of people...

I wanted to more fully understand the body's energetics, and I was in a period in my life where I suddenly had more free time, so I delved into the esoteric world for healing, balancing and learning about my own body. The timing was ripe for me. And I trusted you to be able to teach it well.

I really enjoyed the structure of the class, and the fact that you used many senses (dress code, color, music, dance, etc) to help us discover chakras.
